Trusted by customers from Australia and around the world
Where are SYIL products made?
SYIL machine tools are designed, manufactured and tested in our factories in China. Quality Assurance (QA) procedures for each machine are developed and controlled by our in-house engineering team. A SYIL employee audits the quality of every device at the factory before approving its shipment. Upon request, such audit can also be performed by an external auditor like, e.g., SGS. Components and accessories are either made by us or sourced from around the globe, including Germany, Japan, and Switzerland.
What can I expect for manufacturing quality?
You can expect every CNC machine to meet the highest international quality standards for CNC machinery. Naturally, each machine meets the specifications recorded in our inspection report. The castings are high quality. Be trusted that SYIL's castings come with consistent wall and web thickness. We use modern CNC surface grinders to perform the way grinding. Final fitting is completed by craftsmen using hand scraping techniques. Ballscrews are hand fitted and inspected. Electric motors are built to the highest standards at modern factories. All our new SYIL machines are painted with resin paint which adheres firmly to metal surfaces and is resistant to oil and cutting fluids.

Technical and Support
Which controller should I buy?
This is by far the most common question we get from users. Ultimately it comes down to your budget and the availability of the correct power supply.
Mach 3: Only the X5 based machines can be fitted with Mach3 hardware. We can build them for single-phase electronics too. We do not support ATCs with Mach3 due to the inherent reliability issues with the software.
LNC 5800/6800: The Advantech LNC range of controllers is effectively a budget controller that has proven to be incredibly capable and reliable. With absolute servos and programmable logic, they are able to run any ATC without issues. Machines with the LNC suite can be made for single-phase but the spindle power will be limited to 2.2kW and you will need a 20-32amp dedicated breaker.
SYIL 22MA: A customized CNC control suite for the SYIL range of machines. Offers the same functionality as the LNC range but extends with a massive screen and other easy-to-use features. Required for 5 axis simultaneous or tool center point compensation work.
Siemens 808D Advanced: German engineering at a value price. The 808D offers great documentation, customizability, and a host of easy-to-use features. Comes with a 3-year warranty on all Siemens components once you register it.
Fanuc OI-MPF Plus: The top shelf controller. For those with the budget and need for the Fanuc name and reliability. Also comes with the long Fanuc warranty.
Can I use Mach3 or Linux CNC with the SYIL X7 machines?
No. The new SYIL X7 has been built with absolute servo systems in mind.
Which tool changer should I get?
The SYIL X7 has two types of ATC available. The standard Carousel type and the Arm type. The Carousel is more economical and takes 12 tools where the Arm type is lightning fast and takes 16 tools. Price is the main factor governing your choice here. Second, to that, maintainability is easier on the carousel type.
Can you help me with advanced customizations of the machine, e.g. integration with robots, new macros, and modifications to the PLC?
The answer to this one depends on what you are in need of. The factory will assist to some extent but it may be best if your local reseller assists locally. We have a number of specialist consultants that will be all to happy to assist.
Any customizations done after delivery through SYIL will be charged locally. If you modify you need to make customizations on your own, please ask your reseller beforehand. Alterations may void your warranty!
Can I source spares locally?
Of course! The usual components can be sourced very easily almost anywhere in the world. Your sales contact person at SYIL should be able to assist.
Are replacement parts available?
Is training available?
Of course! Even if you do not have a local SYIL reseller, we are able to assist you in learning to use your machine even over the internet. For a fee, our experienced engineers and trainers will be able to guide you and teach you what you need to know. From maintenance, installation, programming, and CAD, we can cover it all.
Some more advanced topics may require specialists training which we are happy to arrange.
Is an installation service available?
Being able to install your own machine is a huge cost saving. In some cases, you do want the assistance of professionals. Some local resellers, such as in the UK and the USA, will be able to offer installation services depending on your location. For other countries, we can arrange upon request.
